Dear My Sweet Little Company,
It’s been so good knowing you. You have been such a wonderful means to an end for these past 6 years. A way to make new friends, meet new people, witness life and growing families, celebrate big moments. You were so helpful in getting me through art school. I love looking through archives of all our memories together, in Colorado, California, and Alaska. Thank you for helping me recognize the things I love to do, and to have the confidence to go after them. Thank you for being a way to learn good money management, business etiquette, customer service, and networking. We’ve had fun, we’ve had a good run
Alas, it is time we bid each other farewell. It’s not you, it’s me. I’ve moved on. You have served your purpose, and you were never the end goal anyway. It’s time to let you go and pursue the next thing! Cheers to you, my sweet little Simple Life Photography.
It is with a bit of bittersweetness, but mostly relief and joy that I have officially let go of my business. The Facebook page is already gone, and has been replaced with a group that has my ReachGlobal updates and photos. I let all my websites expire last year, so all I’ll have left is this blog! Thank you to all the clients-turned-friends and friends-turned-clients over the years. It’s been a privilege doing life with you. Thank you also for walking with me in the new adventure of being in full-time ministry.
Of course, I’ll keep taking photos. It’s my ministry work! And you know “Auntie Kathryn” can’t resist when a new baby arrives…I’ll absolutely still show up with a camera and a crocheted baby afghan and get some cuddles and pictures. 🙂
Because I’m feeling nostalgic, here’s a few favorites from the past 7 years. If you’d like to see some of my favorites from this past fall, you can look at this blog post, or always at the portfolio section of my blog.
