Wedding season… ah, good times. Beautiful dresses, lace, cowboy boots, flowers. So many amazing memories were made this season, from the waffle bar, to the dog cutting in on the first dance, and even the Colorado flooding completely changing a day. Between the weddings I shot and the ones I assisted the amazing Kelly Lemon Photography and Jen Bosma Photography with, I ended up with about 26,000 wedding photos on my hard drives. It was a pleasure to work with each of my couples, and get to know you a bit! I wish you the best of luck in your new lives together, and hope we can stay in touch for the future. Now, to choose a few favorites out of 26,000 is difficult, but here is my valiant effort.
Here we go, in order (minus the first few weddings of the season which I already blogged about):
Caitlin and Ryan, married up in Windsor, Colorado. A sunny spring day, a fabulously choreographed first dance, and a waffle bar. Let me repeat myself, a waffle bar!
Liz and Justen, married at the Chief Hosa Lodge, with their reception at the Tommyknocker Brewery in Idaho Springs. Major dance moves going on at that reception. Awesome.
Wini and Toby, married on a perfect summer day at the Bright Star Ranch in Salida, Colorado. They had an amazingly fun crowd of friends who made for a great party, Zeus who enjoyed the dancing just as much as anyone, and delicious BBQ steaks. And a fire pit!
Daniece and Eddy, married the Mount Vernon Country Club. One thing I want to point out is that Daniece’s dress was handmade for her by an aunt, and it fit just beautifully!
Jessi and Scotty– a very interesting story actually! I got a phone call on the DAY OF their wedding saying that their venue had been flooded in Evergreen and their photographer was stranded in Boulder because of the flooding. This definitely wins the record for having the least notice! And you know what? It was a GREAT party. Everyone banded together, made the day happen, and made it incredibly special. Nothing could wipe the smiles off these two! They ended up being married at the Sherman Street Event Center.
Annalise and Matt, married in Wooster, Ohio. OH, I love YWAM weddings. Always a little bit crazy, but a whole lot of fun!
Julie and Mike, married in Larkspur, Colorado at the Perry Park Golf Club. It was a bit brisk, but perfectly beautiful, and my oh my, did I love the flowers that day!
Ann and Will, married at the Boettcher Mansion on Lookout Mountain. Such a fun historical site, amazing light, and great spirits, and a very playful bride and groom to go with it.
And there you have it! Wedding season, the “greatest hits”. It was wonderful to work with each and every one of my couples. I am so grateful for the friendships that were formed, and I am excited to see where life takes you!
